How to transfer from Vested to Paasa
Create your Paasa account.
Sign up and complete onboarding if you haven't already.
Open the Paasa app and tap 'Transfer investments'.

Select Vested.

Enter your account number.

Select your account type, individual or joint.

Choose between a full or a partial transfer.

Review and confirm your transfer.
If you choose a partial transfer, you'll need to specify which positions and or how much cash you want to move.Few points to remember before confirming the tranfer:
- Vested charges a $65 transfer fee that will be deducted from your Paasa account.
- You need to opt out of the Securities Lending Program on Vested before initiating a transfer.
- Fractional shares will be liquidated and sent as cash.
Full vs partial transfer
A full transfer moves everything, your entire cash balance and every position, in one go.
A partial transfer lets you choose exactly what moves. If you only want to move your cash balance and leave your stock positions in Vested, select partial transfer and choose cash only.
Note: Make sure the account type and account name match exactly between Vested and Paasa. A mismatch is one of the most common reasons transfers get delayed or rejected.
Will my cost basis be preserved?
Yes, this transfer process preserves original acquisition price and date.
What are the common reasons for transfer request cancellation?
- Name or DOB or address mismatch
- Unsettled trades (Wait for recent trades to settle before initiating transfer)
- Fractional shares rejected (These are not transferable. You must liquidate them.)
